Its actually a good idea - the example dominator gives is a bit unlikely - but the old school fogies don't want to play fair with the smaller guilds and wizard is afraid to make any changes that might make things more balanced...

Cody is probably correct in that it would be more effective for combat to reduce detection time than randomizing auto scouting accuracy. It would however most likely help the larger players out of proportion to smaller players that are disadvantaged in that they have no safe place to assemble fleets...

Maybe something simpler like each level increases power armor and shield by 1 % - I haven't done the math but it seems unlikely to be a game changer and the percentage can be adjusted

isn't the real issue that blobs make it improbable for smaller/newer guilds and players to build enough fleet to threaten established guilds?
this is why servers are declared won in the first 6 mos or so and when the first wave of quitting begins and things continually devolve from there...

Why couldn’t this just be a tech for all players regardless of guild affiliation? Would be interesting to see corvettes and destroyers roaming servers. Also, scrap all the parts that are thinly veiled attempts to change other major mechanics like level protection and joining/rejoining guilds. These...

You would think that this would be the place you could complain about the game moderators / players - since there seems to be no other avenue.. but I have also posted in this regard - the results were - nothing done - sadly some 27 UPGRADED accts were banned ! - $$$ So yes there is some serious disf...

not sure why this is a better solution than others -ie: faster regen or ccs working for all guild members etc.... but I would like to see something done for the older servers-
