I'm with Mav on this, when did we have a server war? I played in Beta and we had server wars there, but nothing on Nova can compare with those. 40+ guilds, at least 8 different sides and it enveloped the entire server. THAT'S a server war, not even the GIRLS group or the latest blob stare qualifies as a server war.

A server war is when most guilds lose nearly all their fleet in derbing to the last fleet mentality. Everyone is too afraid to lose their fleet here and keep them in blobs so we'll never truly see another server war as long as blobbing happens.

I believe I might have mis-typed that. I meant that "we didn't have one" is an acceptable response. God, people need to really stop being so narrow-minded...

You were in BOB? That was one of my favorite guilds during the early days of Beta. You guys were a stand-up bunch and did some fun things during the early days there and in my opinion were the first guild to actually have a "stronghold" in a a galaxy. I don't think this game will ever have that kind of server shenanigans and 40 way server wars ever again...

Yes I was BOB. my favorite time in Beta was the SWARM invasion of B47.

Garlax held a theory that turrets were not needed, if you had the properly composed fleet to deal with the one attacking the base.

Cmdr Cain held the view that turrets were a force multiplier that were needed.

These theories were tested in that war.
