I've heard rumors of a new v1.5 server in 3 months or so. No idea how true they are.

But it doesn't matter. AE is dying, regardless of if they pump out 1.5 or 2.0 servers. Look at Quantum... Server followed the same 3 month lifecycle pattern as the 2.0 servers.

Yes it is dying. 1.5 server may get a better reception at first, cause there hasnt been a new one in a while, but unless they stop releasing new servers every 3 months, everything will be even more dead than it is.

On another note this game has so many years, it just cant live much more in its state, its not attractive to most new players, people prefer huge MMOs like wow etc and its not like there isn't plenty of browser games with prettier graphics, much more advertising and much better feel on mobile (and mobile is the king now in such games).

Eh. Two major guilds relocated from 10s to 20s right after first pass ended, which probably contributes to it being stuck on 10s again.

That being said, the fact that two 20-30 man guilds are "major" is telling in and of itself.

I am a returning player (at one point was a top 100 player in Lyra during its hay day) who was thinking about starting in this server. Is has been about 1 year since I have played this game do to real life issues. So I wanted to start in 39 or 49. 2 reason for that 1 staying out of the fray and 2 long distance triads.
But
It has almost been a week since this server started and it is still sitting at 29 I have never seen a server start so slow. By now this server should be starting the 40s
I was also reading a thread that has been locked about cheating players who use multi accounts. The thing I know about using militi accounts is it give players who know how to use them a advantage.
The other thing I know is the players who were wining about the multi accounts are the same players that use angle dsis which is also cheeting according to the rules.

Not sure I am going to start in this server because it looks to be already dead because it just did not get off the ground.

AE it looks to me that you have started way too many server in a short amount of time. And you have not done any advertising to bring in new players. SHAME ON YOU. I think this game would really do well as a multi platform app. I will add this idea in the right forum also with some other notes.

It you as players want me to start on this server I will I have only gone by 2 names in this game smoothasH2O and Smooth Water. You can look me up if you wish. So you know who I am, some of you might remember me. Or I might just wait till the next 1.5 starts. Which looks like it could be soon as I have never played 2.0v.
