Guess what? Most science fiction setting's shields don't need to be hit by something to defend against them. Oh, and then there's the fact that there are all those times it doesn't self repair, and doesn't take down a whole empire.

I don't think Overlord has an original bone in his body. It's always Deathstars, Star Destroyers or Borg Cubes with him.

I'm not saying make your own but at leat find something we haven't seen a billion times before...
