What fleet should I build?!

I am pretty new to this game and I keep getting attacked by a guild whose strategy is just to use just MASSIVE amounts of frigates and fighters to annihilate any large ships/defenses I have. What defenses should I build to beat the frigate/fighter combo, and when I actually get a chance to retaliate, what can should I build as a good attack fleet?

You could try a few DN which will shield rape the FR/FT fleet, unless they have far too many.

Two. You could make do with one, but it would cost you in repairs. By the time you build them they'll have way more than that, however.

building a small dred fleet on an onocced base can help
but then they will probably just occ with HCs

Ion Frigate (IF spec) is by far the best and fastest way for an account to become combat relevant, especially if you are catching up to the big guys as a smaller/underpowered account player.

They're no use against regular frigates and fighters though.

Against frigates this is probably a better option than pursuing DN. You should also find a guild that is willing and able to help you fight back.

What ever you do get out of ASAE. And try to get into a top 20 guild. The question you ask is an easy one to answer build around 10 command centers and spawn 25 fighters. Be online when they spawn and attack.
