I'm still sad, or life after Jonestown

Postby Hikaru Shidou » Mon 04 Dec, 2017 11:25

this is Hikaru Shidou and i'm still sad

i was one of 136 players (and/or accounts) banned and then deleted from Beta/FAIL

i appealed the decision but didn't even get a reply.

i had a lvl 120 account with 21 bases, and 100 million fleet
with production 16 commanders everywhere,
also jg10 and up everywhere, with a higher lvl jg in each of the galaxies i was in
like jg15, 16 and 17 so me and my guildmates could get around quickly
i was in 9 different galaxies in two different galactic tiers
to make it tough for anyone to farm me our of the game...
and i had 200 guildmates, and friends who would come to my aid if necessary.

and of course 3 sets of pshields and 5 sets of prings for defense on all bases...

all this i had built up from scratch as the original owner of the account
which i started 9 years ago, ten years if i had made it to the end of the month...

i really enjoyed playing beta
i could build up a large fleet and keep it safe on the blob,
and then venture out to hunt, and be hunted,
in other words, actually have fun playing the game...
and all that's gone now...

seeing that KaHaR and Player One are both keeping their fleets,
and seeing the lack of any feedback from the deleted accounts, except me,
i think it's possible the accusers might be right about the zomebie accounts,
i don't know, i wasn't a part of that, i was never let in on any secrets like that...

Maybe it's time to move on,
but i had friends contact me, wondering why i was deleted,
concerned about me, and wondering where i had gone,
and happy to see me here again...
so i will miss this place,
and still not sure if i should leave,
because of all the good times i've had here.

and maybe it was all worth while if only
to help give PiGS something to do
in the last months of his life,
the one year anniversity of his death is coming up December 16th

and i remember stumbling across a single world,
zero economy, "In Memoriam"
where a wife was keeping the old account of her husband going,
in loving memory of him...

*cry* *cry*

Raven in the other thread that got closed, i think said enough.
I'm not happy about real players getting banned, but if you ever shared your acc details with anyone, anyone at all, in some op, maybe in a crash you couldn't be online, or even if you use the same login data in more than one server, then i would think that MAYBE they might have log into you at some point, maybe a fleet moving where you don't remember leaving, spawns moving, trades being accepted.... stuff like that..... or like you said, you can be innocent, everyone that plays AE for 9/10y knows how some support decisions can be weird, bias or totally unfair.

But apart from that, and except for the real players, i'm not sad at all about the ending, only thing i find funny and sad, it the decision FAIL LS made and how FAIL LS followed up with it, i mean if i want to stand with my decision about my guildies and then not following it myself, what makes me? I did suspect FAIL would so something like this when checkers started to delete bases.

Some i've talked to here and there, and some reported some situations like, stuff getting done they didn't remember etc.
Some including didn't even know they still had the accounts with their email before they got banned.

Unless stated otherwise, my forum posts express my personal view/opinions non-related to my guild.

@Themis:
please tell me what colors are acceptable for use here on the forums
i've been using aqua for awhile in all my posts in game, just to spice things up a bit
sort of a trademark for me

@Jason:

i never shared my login with anyone, on any server.
hmm, i do remember now that when the Animesuki database was hacked
someone got my email password and sent out spam everywhere,
but i don't think they actually read my emails, just used the account for spam
i changed passwords after that, including my AE password,
that was several years ago.

will SS/GODS be resetting the server, like FLEET did on Delta? I'm Miki Hanabishi there.

there are still about a dozen people on our boards at FAIL/Jonestown
but none from the banned/deleted accounts have come back except me.
... and Checkers doesn't respond to my pm, even though i remember him as a friend from long time ago...

i'm open to further discussion in pm, either here in the forum or in game
i created a new Beta account under the name Miki Hanabishi, same as my Delta and Bravo accounts
i have two whole bases now, eco 99 woot!

Correction:
PiGS died December 6th 2016, not the 16th as i stated above
so today is the anniversity of his death

i think many remaining FAIL/Jonestown members have waited till this anniversity before deleting...

its such a shame that after 9 years you chose to use scripts after 3,892 Days of my account that I built from the ground up I will continue to play legit refusing to use any script's and or auto launchers that breach the TOS for AE

Fail fleets vs my cap stack never forget fail that your fleets during the last crash fell under the guns of my capital's after the boyz mowed the lawn of all those pesky HC and BS fleets

@Chesterton:
thank you for clearing that up for me.
i understand i'm not allowed to complain about or criticize the rules.

@Baal

yes, i killed ~450 levis with frig/ion frig in one of the blob crashes
i can't refer to my notes to pin down the exact number and date
because my notes were deleted with the rest of my account.

if you want to discuss some aspects in more detail,
perhaps personal messaging would be better.

i'm glad i was able to express how i feel,
i'm glad you are able to do the same.

any thoughts for the future of the server?
seems that new people are still joining Beta
and old players that haven't played in "monkey ages"
i know because i have a trade route with one of them lol

Yeah - wot Ches said. You can use acqua of course, but only to spice up your post, not for all of it. All colour wots hurt people’s eyes.
I didn’t feel it appropriate for me to select one part for highlighting in your post.

oh, ok, i see,
aqua shows up better against a black background (in game)
than it does against dark gray (in forums)
