- If a new Battle Report is present in the player inbox, the new messages number displays now in red.

- In the base overview the Command Centers, Jump Gates and Capital are now displayed in a middle column. The reason is to be easily to look at those structures, as they are the more strategic structures of the base to others players, and the more important to look at.

- A text character counter was added in the player description, guild description, guild internal, notes, messages, and guild board.

- The max length of those fields was also changed:

Player description: from 1024 to 1200
Guild description: from 1024 to 1200
Guild Internal: from 4096 to 5000
Notes: from 2048 to 5000
Messages: from 4000 to 5000
Board: from 2048 to 5000

Now when a game BBCode url links to an external page, a warning page is displayed, referring that the user is trying to visit a page that is not part of Astro Empires.

This was implemented to increase player’s protection from phishing attempts in game.

- The limit of posts a player can post in the guild board during 24 hours was increased from 100 to 120.

- There is now an option in the guild board to show only the players own posts.

- In the ranks page is now possible to order guilds ranks, by number of members and by average per member.

- The player’s link displayed in some pages, like the map pages, now displays a tooltip if you have the mouse over the player link some time, the tooltip displays the player level, and the comparison to your actual level.

Upgraded players can now select to see advertising in game if they wish.
The option to view advertising is at the account/display page.
The default is to hide advertising.

Implementation of an updates notification box, which appears after new updates, making easier to players be aware of new updates.

In the account page, near the latest updates, is there now a box called spotlight, it will be used to show links of events and other things regarding AE.

- Upgraded accounts now show a small “Upgraded Account Badge” in the profile.

- The “Recruitment Badge” is now display in the profile of players that have at least 1 upgraded recruit, instead of the 5 minimal.

Sorting by javascript was implemented in the game.

It will sort the game columns faster at the player side and without any requests to the game servers.

Changes in the credits page:

- It has now a “view more” link at the bottom of the credits list, clicking on it will show a few more entries in the list.

- It has a credits resume of the last 24 hours at bottom of the page.

- Debris collect entries have a link that will show the debris collect at that location and that time by the several players.

Date format changed

Is now possible to choose the date format in the account/display page. Possible formats:
10 Jan 2010 (dd mmm yyyy)
Jan 10 2010 (mmm dd yyyy)
2010-01-10 (yyyy-mm-dd)

Reason: the old format dd-mm-yyyy cause some confusion to players that are used to mm-dd-yyyy format (USA, and other countries). Example, we receive lots of support tickets asking why they account upgrade last less time than expected, when they are missing the date format.

Note: The formats dd-mm-yyyy and mm-dd-yyyy have not being included in the select list, as they can cause confusion in conversations between players if they use different formats.

The account page was remade to be more streamlined (and easier to new players).

A game tour is now available at the game and servers homepage.

It gives a game description to possible new players that come by.

The tutorial mission "Combat Fleets" was changed order in the tutorial, and placed after the "Additional Bases" mission.
