Corvettes are not for collecting debris
your have recyclers for that

since there is new protection rules,this guide doent seem to work anymore cos you come out of protection at lvl 10 and you have around 200 economy and then people can attack you

as long as you dont build any fleet

you are still capable of getting base 10 before getting attacked ...

You're right
the whole idea of the guide needs revision as some other good ideas should be included too:
1) like building a couple of CVs or DEs for occupying defenseless inactives - but nothing more than a few dozens
2) making trade routes early to help with the eco
... and many others in the 11 pages of comments

However, this problem of the new protection rules can be solved by joining a good (training) guild. Many let you get into their guild if you promise you'll stay there after you get "done" with your initial startup.

Missle turrets are cheap and they stop some early corvette attacks so building them helps.

A big problem of this guide is if a player is completely new he will have no idea, about occupations and getting occupied. When I tried this I got 10 bases but I have very little credits to do anything else and 3 of my bases were occupied, it took a long time to get my defenses up and to get rid of the occupiers. It needs to include some time for base defense too.

HOWEVER, when the day 6 of your account is at the end, start building defenses and fleets on all your bases and stop constructing, so that you'll have money for your defenses:

not true i had no fleet and now day 4 i am getting owned and have no cash so cant stop myself getting owned and guild diplomatics cant help me cos there to slow to react

I agree with Cabbage. This guide leaves plenty of downtime for base defenses and don't follow it to a T. Seriously, use some brainpower and make a few tweaks for your situation. With the new server rules up base defenses on a new server should go up on day 2 or 3 at the latest. Older servers like Alpha you needn't worry about any defenses until much later. Watch out for people your level and play intelligently. If you can't figure out how to knock people off your bases at 10 days of age then you shouldn't be playing this game.

It was madwork but I manged to get 11 bases when i had vacation.
I had 14 days off from school so I used that time to make extreme effords to get 11 bases in my first 7 day trial.
I was horribly much active almost around the clock realy worked addicting.
I managed to get my first outpost ship at the start of the second day.
at the end of the second day I had 3 bases.
I got luck because I started in epsilon, I have now 8 crystallines that realy helped me getting the credits I needed tog et 11 bases.
On halfway day 2 I made some corvettes to scout the whole area for unprotected trade routes & bases.
I got lucky finding one route that had several hundreds of credits so I had enough to build my 4th and 5th base on my 3rd day.
Working everything out into detail being busy the whole day and queuing crystals mines during nightfall to boost the eco even further I managed to get almost 900 eco at my 7th day.
I always placed all outpost ships guarded with some corvettes on the planet I wanted to colonize before I had the actual credits to build my base sparing up extra time that would be wasted in travelling.
The 7th day was so dam exciting, I even started to count the amount of credits I would get in the remaining hours of trial upgrade.
But thanks to the pillages and recycling most structures I just managed to get enough credits to build my 11th base :D
Dunno if someone ever managed before to get 11 bases in 7 days, but remember that the E87 galaxy was filled with new players and loads of empty crystallines, so I would never get that oppertunity again I think.

To switch from subject, this is also how I got in trouble for pillaging the bases beling to a palyer called [QUIT]Malvorn.
When I attacked most of his bases I thought why he was so weak, and then saw his profile saying that he quitted the game.
He even gave locations to his bases in his profile activating my urge to get more and more credits making got 2 days suspended for it.
