I am having problems with it. Like the only one working is ED's. I had it a few hours ago.

Routing to it is broke atm (Destination Host Unreachable), I've notified the provider. Just don't clear your cache, or use no pack for now :paranoid:

Edit: fixed

I get 100GB transfer/mo on this, and am on track to use half of that. So far soo good but yeah I'm watching it :p. It's a pretty nice VPS for only $10/mo - when they're ready for public consumption I plan to edit the first post with an address.

On a related note, if anyone is noticing it being slow intermittently today, one of the disks is screwed so the RAID array is rebuilding, causing disk IO to wait 10-30s sometimes.

maybe this thread should be stickeyed? helps players who cant get packs to work to finally use them, and surely AE would be happy the images arent being loaded from their site?

Yeah let's just say the host isn't read for prime time yet. I can't complain (yet), I'm not paying for it (..yet?) ;)

Thanks, this is pretty sweet. :D

Alucard wrote:By the way, I believe all of my hosted packs have transparent astros, paving the way to allow light-colored skins. Any makers?

When dealing with paper, bright colours are easy on the eyes and dark colours are hard to read, but on a monitor it's the opposite. Bright coloured computer backgrounds for something you stare at as long as you stare at AE can be very tiring for your eyes, you probably wouldn't want to use this.

Maybe a low intensity light colour like a powder blue would work.

Anything I say on the forums is my personal opinion, I'm not here as a member of my guild.

Oh, I know, but some people like lighter themes anyway.

The performance issue should be solved now, now it just needs to stop forgetting how to get out of the house.

One fault with the graphics, atleast on my usage. The planets are taking awhile to load, and are blipping on and off frequently. This could be due to me being in the UK though, I'll try with a non-animated and see if it works any better.

Try, try and try again...then quit as you're obviously no effin good!

Europe -> Boston should be pretty fast, and it's working at the moment. You do still have to cross the pond though, and the animated astros are the biggest.
