Fleet Launch Times Calculator

Postby Warthog_PL » Thu 02 Sep, 2010 20:00

I'd like to present you next piece of software that may be useful in some guild operations: Fleet Launch Times Calculator

Image

How it works ?

You have to set the distance, arrival time, fleet types, techs and jumpgates and logistics commander lvl if applicable.
The outcome is date and time that each fleet should be launched to get to the destination on time.

Fleet type is determined by the slowest ship in the fleet, but I think you know that :)

Again, as I stated in your other thread, KaHaR does the job better then you and he does it with Java.

that's cause Java has a hugely easy coding language. but doing it in, for example, vb, it becomes simpler and with a better look on it <.<

That's all ? It ain't very constructive.
I've seen KaHaRs' and IMO it's not very intuitive.
I understand that you got used to KaHaRs and you like the fact it's a combined tool that will handle debris sharing, fleet launch times, battle calculating etc. What you don't understand is that some players may look for simplicity.

If anyone else think there are better tools for the job that's fine, but please don't say it here, unless you can say why, why is it better as a fleet launch times calculator.

I have seen a website which houses a few calcs on it.

http://mckflux.co.tv/tools/

Used it a few times and it's very good. It gives you the option to view the times/share for yourself or you can hit the postable version button to get the BBcode for AE to post on the boards.

Below is an example.

Ok, let me express it very simple terms.

1) Output is a lot easier, easier to see everything.
2) Input is nearly the same as yours.
3) Customisation of the output
4) Auto-distance calculation.

Hope that helps.

Oh and It's java, multiple OS capabilities

Oh ... one last thing, it has a battle calculator with it. o.O
