The Rebirth of Alpha

Postby Silver_Surfer » Fri 22 Apr, 2022 08:19

The server war serves to render alpha a bipolar, brain dead, stagnant, boring stalemate with massed scouting limiting ability to maneuver in stealth, a much value capability in the old days, thus limited fleet actions and dominated by simple stupid base slamming. To bring back the old days, the server war must terminate, and guild size in strength and members be limited. I would suggest to AE, that guilds be limited to 50 members, thus forced creation of many guilds, the return of melee, concurrent fleet actions in various sizes, guild wars, stealth maneuvering, and dare I say, forum politics and braw.

What was perhaps missed 15 years ago by AE is the gravitational affects of warrior tendency to be drawn to power guilds, for safety and improved chances of victory. This tendency has left alpha in a bipolar state where dumb base slamming is all that really remains. What also perhaps AE missed is the auto scouting providing improved intel as the guild numbers increase. Both warrior tendency and auto scouting combined in a devastating synergistic affect of a bipolar disorder. Consequently, with melee now Dead, members are bored and dropping out of play. But is it too late to save alpha from the natural consequences of only two survivors, cl and ip, each with multies in repetitive suicides? Because that is the natural and probable outcome,

the death of alpha.

The algo is simple to implement
If guild members are 50 or more, admission is disabled.
And if 51 or more, the lowest level player is removed, day to bring down the number of members.

Just do it, and thereby dist the multies and script bots.

Didn't you get recall trapped in 74? Don't see this working out well for you at all.

Got butchered in a69 by shld predator and co.
Congrats! Hail shld predator!! Excellent stealth approach.
I had auto running, scouts fanned, but they still snuck up.
The game with autoscouts passed me by.
Got schooled the hard way, taken to the wood shed.

Trying to recruit a gang of sheltered homeless as monoton pilots.
A 5 th column. I don’t drink, but they do. Lol

The a74 hit was not a trap as I was unaware of pending doom.
Again, another excellent stealth approach, brogren I believe.
Shld auto scouting must be totally awesome.
But that was a victory, as I jump on the derb pile in force for profit. But the most disappointing aspect, was that shld was lured to the uppers by an irresistible target, as planned, in blind faith cruel would detect and pounce. They sat on their butts.
I felt hung out to dry, cruel being cruel, a missed opportunity.
