AE action figures, kgo!
Actually, those would be interesting. I doubt they'd do enough business to make it worth the cost, though.

Though its perhaps a good idea i cannot see it being made
They sell gifts through cafe press, so they can only put their logo on existing stock, not to mention even if they ran the store personally the moulds for such a gift would be hugely expensive

I'll take orders now.

and being a kid myself... i wouldn't care how much it costs... and most people that play these games are collectors as well... so either way there is a profit to be made...Tomination wrote:Though its perhaps a good idea i cannot see it being made

Re: since they have desighned ships
This would be awesome!
As for cost, they could get a cheepish 3d printer (not low end but not quite mid range in cost $750-$3000) and that would save them money on making the models. Something the size of a miniature game piece would be perfect, in fact why not make a miniature game outta the same style ships. More money ideas for them ^.^

Becoming more possible as time goes on isn't it.Conri wrote:This would be awesome!

They wouldn't be able to sell them through the current storefront though. But I like the idea also.
Gotta think they would be pricey as the technology is expensive at the moment. And the time it takes to get a decent ship output - may cost more than the possible revenue.

Re: since they have desighned ships
I could be wrong, but I doubt 3-d printers are an efficient way of mass-producing things like this. Great for making prototypes or small production runs, but if you want a lot of them you're better off with a more specialized machine.

Re: since they have desighned ships
I don't know beans about 3D printing - BUT that's never stopped me from making suggestions before, so
Sell 3D modeling blueprint code for the buyer to use in the buyer's printer!
I mean the 3D printer must work off of some sort of "blue print" right?
So they could make and sell those, for whatever trivial amount they think would pay their costs and create sufficient demand to pay them for the time. Any sales after that are gravy.
And they could always sell Signed Collectors editions for $100 or something from ones they print themselves for those out there that want one but cant afford or have a 3D themselves.
