Give Delta a few more years

Postby The One » Sun 20 Jan, 2013 01:00

Players have been deleting their Delta accounts at a very rapid pace, and a server that was once the best is now rapidly fading away. Please, do not delete your account, give it away to some one who will be active and keep it going for many years to come. There are many people from other servers who would join if given an account.

Keep Delta alive for a few more years.

Deleting an account is a great way to get some closure if you're trying to quit a particular server or even the game itself.

Additionally, if I've spent a year or two building up an account, no way is some other arse going to come in and steal my good work.

Basically, everyone delete your accounts. Do it now.

That's like saying if someone owns a restaurant, and they don't want to manage it anymore, they should close the restaurant, instead of letting someone else manage it. Hey, if you don't care about your empire, and want to see it crumble, that's fine, but if you want your hard work to live on, then letting someone else carry on your legacy is your best bet.

For me it's more like a meal. It's great a first and tastes delicious, so you plough through it. But it's a big meal that you can't finish, so once you're done rather than give the crappy scraps away I would just throw it in the bin where it belongs.

lol i suppose the accs u build are only worth throwing away??

what does that say about your account building ability?

problem is people get killed they rage they delete,
i agree all accs should be passed on.

building an acc from lv 0 is so boring on any server
people cant be bothered on old servers

i got given an acc on delta it had 1mil in the bank,
200k fleet
and had worst astro choices ever
but had some good gates

i built it up for like 2 yrs and learnt all the ae basics from delta,
so i gave my acc away when i no longer had time for it

unlike others that get derbed
i gave mine with over 100 mil fleet and was still upgraded

my only hope is it will be passed on again
or rebuilt if the new owner gets derbed / leaves

It's forums. Spelling and grammar are extraneous and one cannot be penalized for their improper use.

And I Haven't got the faintest idea about what I'm talking about.

It's my own personal viewpoint. If you can't be bothered to write your argument properly, I can't be bothered to read it.

You are fail*; go and play scrabble. It seems that's what you're into.
I never got zf'd, actually. I left Delta about a year or so ago because of the simming-fest and the fact that the game wasn't fun any more.

http://faboo.org/eddie/delta/publicPlay ... rid/123240 I'll fully admit to not being a hard core player but given the time I had available for playing the game I'm pretty happy with where that account ended up. I worked at it and when I was finished, it was my own decision to get rid of it. No else deserves it if they haven't developed it themselves. Personally, I would ban account swapping totally. It breeds laziness and allows useless players to inherit decent accounts that they have on not earned and will probably ruin.

Additionally, I took the liberty of tidying up your mistakes. It took some time; there were a lot of them.

You're welcome.

*What on earth is that nonsensical statement?
