Hope is independent of rationale or logic. You cannot defeat hope. If Nazi's couldn't defeat hope, then its hopeless for you.

umm... no it depends on the context. Hope is the probability of a chance at gaining a desired result. People lose hope when they don't see the possibility of odds in their favor. Eg: RD and friends would defeat Flood/Ark/Ftw/Red in 2 years if the guild members became inactive.

Fanaticism and blind faith is more independent of rationale or logic. Eg: this trade embargo lol
