I would like to offer up MI5 Terminator.I doubt many know him but im pretty much the most posting person in MI5 and he always humored me and was always great at talking with all of MI5.I doubt any of you know him.He barely broke lvl 30 before he died of lung cancer. It was very sad...I know its just a game but this is in real life,he died.I know a little of him and he was the best.Check MI5 profile image if you need more proof. All im gonna say.

Known as Carlos Hathcock on Beta and Alpha.

Official Top Poster Of Beta MI5. :D

I say no,

I've seen players like Anarchy (good bloke) in the top 100 for XP when he quit Beta.

To me, XP is NOTHING, it proves nothing, just how much fleet you can lose (and how many commanders you can build).

This is why I respect players like ZL, Gigapouts, MACE, rx etc.

They've got high fleet, high tech, high econ and high exp, and to those I didn't mention from the enemy side (I'm sure more than one of you noticed) I either think you have the personality of a retarded child or the courtesy of an angry redneck or I just plain don't know you.

Econ/Tech are to easy to be considered a measure of how well one plays the game. I would agree that XP + Fleet is the best gage but XP OR Fleet is more important that Tech AND Econ IMO. In most cases people being considered for our fake Hall of Fame will be considered for things they accomplished outside of stats.

Personally? If I had a list of players who've actually contributed to the game from what I've heard:

MACEDONIAN
Zhuge Liang
Count Spartan (People will boo me out, but he wouldn't be a big name with fame/infamy)
Mustakrakish
Awol (Yeah I'm replying to you, but whatever :bleh: )
Snayke
Kham, Krapek, B5000 (Of course, everyone seems to hate them, but same reason, they're notable Beta names)
Grishnak
Grendel
Executor ( A simmer, but also well known ;) )
Hookah
The Don
Ruin
KK
DrEvil
Poitin
Cazic
Dacus
Stoich
The Friar
HaZE

THis is all I can think of for now, but if you wanted to go notable/infamous forum names...

Miranda IS_N
Lord Araujo
VoD
Saint 7
Awol
Mustakrakish
Thrax
Count Spartan
Chief Billy Bowlegs

Yeah I might add more, or take some out.

Like it or hate it, these are people I personally remember as big names in beta both for ingame actions, as well as forum actions. A few names like EVIL STARWOFL etc aren't there because they just didn't do it for me... :scared:

You are missing one very important name. Corum. He's not as active as he used to be, but one of the most influencial players in Beta history.

*ninja edit* I'd add Woogoat as well.
*ninja edit 2* I would also add ESA, Fox Mulder, Apocryphite, the guy who started Bro (can't remember his name), Garlax, Haze, Stardragon, Greatbay...and um more that I can't think of.
The point is a LOT of players in Beta history affected the server.

NPO - Alpha
«o» "Diplomat" - Beta
Akatsuki Grunt - Ceti

Most noted for blah blah.

I nominate this guy

I'm only lurking around here every now and then, commenting on that FR or checking out how that server war is going. But don't mind my presence here.

I think Dragonlover should get a spot here. Pity to see him leave. :(

I would say Barnholex is the best player in Beta, but i could be wrong. :D

And I, of course, am innocent of all but malice.

The Friar.

Damnit I was gonna say that. As much as I owe a lot to The Friar I'd hardly put him under the label of "great players". He was a mass recruiter determined to just get as many members in the guild as possible. HaZe and Spaceb0t did a far better job.
