This suggestion suggests uncluding same guild fleets be added to base defenses on a guild mates base defense totals when present.

Why not? You want to see even more action between competing fleets and empires? Many have said that Eco, Tech, Bases and Trade are the heart
and soul of the games. Not us. We believe that the builders of AE presented an insteresting array of ship choices to promoted combat engagements... and more. When more fleets are exposed, more targets are presented. The base would gain the enhancement, but would expose precious fleet to more combat and losses. More is good.
