SotL Declares War on Evil Hegemony

[DemonReaper]

SotL purposes to have the following Helion Server (AKA Desired End State)

Balanced server with Balanced wars and No Farming of Active players.

The Sword of the Lord is currently gathering forces server-wide to bring the server into balance. Many share our vision of the Desired End State and are joining the battle. It is this state that will allow new and old, weak and strong to enjoy what AE offers on the Helion server.

Those guilds not sharing the Desired End State will be deemed part of the Evil Hegemony on Helion.

We have no desire or means to control the server, our desire is for the server to be in balance, not in a state where veterans and new players are leaving every day. All players are encouraged to join Operation Reset and take the server back.

Suicide Mission? Yes
Worth it? Every bit of it if we lose or win.

This is the worst server out of them. I thought Ceti with a constant server war is bad, but atleast each guild has a shot at winning. I thought Epsilon's odds were bad, but then again there people understand Change and the server is healing.

Us here in SoTL lost some of the best players I have seen in this game, they couldn't handle the way the server was headed. I been here for well over 4 years now and I know a good player when I see one.

I think I can speak for every guild that has been hit by LOVE and their little groupies, that this is getting sick. Pretty soon if we lose or win you will run out of fodder to feed on. Players WILL quit and no choice but for you guys to turn to each other.

We may be small in numbers, but hell we are from servers old and new, and we may just be a bunch of guys over our heads in *beep*, but it beats living in the *beep* we are in now. Lets go and FREE THIS SERVER of the rule of LOVE and Groupies. If we fail, we can say we tried, we did our best to change, and it is now upon [LOVE] to change the server.

I would like to point out that this is about getting a server back from loosing it's way. This was not a declaration about the Triad. It is true that they won the server and have already received their congratulations. But the triad by all accounts has failed to win the victory. To the extent that the Triad has not fostered a universe capable of having fair and balanced wars, they have lost. Some of it is a fear and security issue, afraid of a real challenge. Many good players made a logical choice to join the 'winning side' when they found themselves in the wrong galaxy. These honorable players do not have 'quit' in their ethos. These players started in other guilds and still play with these other members across servers. There are also those outside of the Triad farming active players. SotL intends to free occupations of all active players not actively hostile towards us. We are only leaving a fighter behind on our occupations after collecting debris. We are not hitting UC occupations or occupations of players that are red lettered inactive.

If you want the server to change, you need to walk the walk, not point fingers. The server stats could change on their head if good players simply walked away from bad leadership. SotL is welcoming all honorable members looking to fight their way to a better server. We are not going to insist that you stay when we win, but you are certainly welcome to.

The server is united this time more than before. The players on this server cannot afford division or pettiness to stand in the way of this epic opportunity to reset the server.

And here I thought it was because if anyone in LOVE did a super serious announcement about server balance or the good of the server, or some random WoT on something that didn't involve derbs, building a better account or not getting kick/derbed for being fail they'd get laughed at.

Once, I thought as you did. Then, I had an epiphany; it's a losing battle that's not worth fighting. This has failed spectacularly every time it's been tried, and I sincerely doubt this time will be different. At BEST, you'll create Ceti, with two completely deadlocked factions (and given what you've got to work with, even that's doubtful).

Seriously? Baloney. When H-IV was caught between RUIN and DREAD, we had players leaving in droves. Those that stayed are the core of H-IV now.

Also, it is very possible to relocate, I've done it on other servers.

The only place where H-IV has a very strong tendency to perma-farm people is in the teens. If you don't like it, relocate out of the teens. Otherwise, it's up to the individual player and how badly you've pissed them off.
