So - in 10 days it will be intergalactic love day. Just in case we are coming, you should bake a cake! Contact Purge for recipes etc (NB Betty Crocker does NOT count!)
We are planning a big bash for our special day, but as yet we haven't decided on guests and menus.
Probably we'll keep it a select gathering, but you never know

Here's a pretty decent recipe for basic white bread. I modify this bread for all sorts of things. It even forms the basis for my bagels (Which are DARN good, thank you!)
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon yeast
6 oz warm water
Mix above and let sit for 10-15 minutes, to let the yeast get going.

12 oz AP Flour
1 tsp salt
Add the above to the water/yeast mixture, mix thoroughly. Turn onto lightly floured surface and with wet hands, kneed until it windowpanes. Let rise for 30-60 minutes, until it's doubled in size and is fluffy. Shape and put into a greased bread pan, let proof until a bit over doubled in size (should be slightly larger then the pan.) Bake at 375 with steam.
