[OOC]This idea arose in my mind, just thought i'd put it out there. I'll try and guide you through the story. Just make your own character from the three alien species. I control the Promethium, I am offering you guys complete creative freedom here. Do whatever you want with your own character. He can be of any rank in the military, a scientist, It doesn't matter.[/OOC]
Deep in the heart of the universe lies a galaxy. In the galaxy lies the The Council of three. Three different alien races came together for the betterment of their galaxy as a whole. War had not raged here for many years.
One of the three races was the Anexians. The Anexians were a species of large gray aliens, they stood 12 feet tall. Each one had large black eyes and a mouth with stone gray teeth. The flesh in their mouth was black. The Anexians were the most versed in war throughout the three races and had the technology to back it up. Unfortunately, their size is their only weakness. They are slow moving and stand as big targets in a battlefield. They have light armor around their skin as natural protection.
The second was the Janarians, the only race of humans in the galaxy. The Janarians were great healers and had ability to do so. They were genetically different from us in that way. A string of random mutations generating healing abilities. Somewhat do to their abilities, the Janarians are a peace loving civilization. But they will do anything to protect themselves.
The last civilization was the Ormon, a race of small blue aliens. They have antennae reaching from the tops of their heads and stand only about 4 feet tall. The Ormon were the smartest of the races. Thus they had the most well versed scientists of the three. Although they had great scientists, the Ormon were a weak military power in comparison to the Anexians. Still, their technology was all through voice or thought commands.
After many hundred years of peace and with a council set up. The races prospered, and eventually had only small amounts of weapons technology throughout their civilizations. These were only used for peacekeeping. Factories for making ships lay forgotten on a single planet on the very fringes of the galaxy (which I will refer to as Promethegus). The planets name was Unjin. Factories lay here and there in other systems. But Unjin was rich in natural resources for making ships, which is why it was always contested throughout the wars so many years ago.
With this lack of military technology. A trading partner they had in a separate galaxy took interest in them. It was the perfect chance to conquer them. They were the Promethium.
The Promethium were a highly advanced race of humans, they had many psychic abilities such as telekinesis and turning off gravity for objects they wanted to. Some could even control minds. Some could heal. But as it was, the Promethium had a large thriving military, but only ruled a small galaxy of planets. They wanted more.
One day, after 30 years of planning. The Promethium attacked a planet on the edge of Promethegus. It was called Prime.
February 18th, 2577, Promethegus, Prime
The Tantalus
Zacharia Hammond, often refereed to as Zach led The Tantalus. A large capital ship that was the flagship of the Promethium forces. As it was, Fleet Admiral Zach led the only one in existence.
Zach felt proud of being sent out on this mission exclusive to all other commanders. They had even appointed him Fleet Admiral. He controlled but a small amount of the full force of the Promethium military. Aside from the Tantalus, Zach had command over 3 Orion Battlecruisers, 20 T-185 Corvettes, 300 X-135 Fighters, 100 X-302 Bombers, and 3 Destiny Class Battlecruisers. The large force was enough to take out the most powerful of defenses.
Along with that, Zach commanded a large force of 100 Prophets and 200,000 Lights. Among his vehicles were 20 Promethius Class Artillery and 10 Hagian Class Tanks. Yes... he was in control.
Zach felt elation as they approached Prime. Which was totally defenseless besides a small blockade force.
"Power weapons and drop the cloak now." Zach said.
"Yes sir!" The Lieutenant on deck said.
When they were within firing range, they dropped the cloak. The fleet of defense ships fired at the Tantalus immediately. The lasers did nothing to the shields.
"Return fire." Zach said.
They did, the Tantalus opened fire and destroyed the ships in seconds.
"Tell the rest of the fleet to drop their cloak." Zach said.
They did.
"Connect me to the communications network on the planet."
It took a second, then the Lieutenant said, "Your on."
"Hello people of Prime. Surrender now or I shall bombard the planet, killing everyone here." Zach said.
It took a second, and then the planet replied.
"It appears we have no choice, we surrender." A man said.
Perfect... Now to establish our base of operations here.
The planet was relatively useless other then it would be a perfect base of operations for the Promethium military while it conquered the galaxy.
The planet conquered, Zach began to plan what would happen next...

Jack struggled with the hoe and sweated beneath the brilliant orange sky. He and his brother had fallen upon tough times on their dirt farm, and it was nearly harvest.

Zach quickly ordered the ships to land on the ground in the area that had been set out for them by everyone on the ground. The occupation was going swiftly. Zach could not have hoped for more. This would be the first time a Promethium conquered a planet in this galaxy. But, he knew there was still much to do. The planet they had landed on was little more then an agricultural planet. Which is one reason it was selected. The Promethium could run operations from this planet without much trouble. Zach had to move quickly though, he had to stop anyone on the planet from informing the council of this incident.
Zachs tactical approach relied on the fact that the Council had no real military power. If they were informed now, the council could have an army ready in a mere month. If that was going to happen, then they would stand on more or less equal ground. Zach needed the advantage.
"Send a Prophet and a detachment of Lights to shut down the communications center on this planet. The council must not know we are here." Zach said to the Lieutenant. The Lieutenant quickly contacted their land forces and told them their order. They would depart as soon as the ships landed.
One by one the large ships dropped from the skies with ease. Their stabilizers working to lift every pound of the massive ships. They landed in a large plain outside the city of Theklarish. It was the capital of the planet. Because of the agricultural nature of the planet. The city was little more then a large town. There was only one big building in the center of the city where the government was managed.
What a pitiful excuse for a capital. Zach thought staring down at it through the bridges Trinium enhanced glass windshield. As the Tantalus and other ships touched down on the surface, many people began grouping at the towns gate. They looked frightened by the ships. No doubt they hadn't seen anything of such scale before.
The wind from the ships touching down flew through the surroundings, flattening the grass for miles and whipping the hair of the townspeople 3 miles away. Zach thought about how this must look like, No doubt this is quite a glorious sight from their eyes.
A corvette zoomed farther along the planets service then the rest of the ships. No doubt heading towards the communications center.
"Jam all communications for as far away as possible. We must prevent the council from finding out about us." Zach said.
"Sir, I don't think that would do much." The Lieutenant said.
"Why not?"
"All communications on the planet are sent to the communications center, that center has the ability to break through our jamming with ease."
"Damn... Well, it doesn't matter. The troops are on their way now."
Zach got up from his seat in the middle of the bridge and left. Zach ordered everyone to stay on board. He then took two Prophets and headed towards the teleporter room. They stepped onto the panel, they were then broken down into several tiny molecules and sent towards the town. Zach and his Prophets arrived just outside the gates. The crowd quickly retreated from them as he walked into the town.
The leader waiting inside the town standing between two buildings not far away. He held firm as Zach approached.
"Hello, you are Commander Vren, are you not?" Zach said as he stood in front of the man,
"Yes, I am Commander Vren. Leader of Prime. We are an agricultural society whoever you are. What do you want with us?" Vren said.
"I see, strait to the point. I like that in a man." Zach said.
"I do not care, what do you want with me and my people." Vren said.
Zach was interested. How can someone appear to be so angry yet so calm all at once?
"I am Fleet Admiral Zacheria Hammond of the Tantalus, I am the military commander of the Promethium." Zach said.
"The Promethium? I knew you people were trouble from the start." Vren said. "From the moment we encountered you, we knew you were trouble. You were just not... normal."
"I care little what you think of us Vren, now let us sit and talk about the terms of your surrender." Zach said, trying to impersonate Vrens stature.
"Fine. This way." Vren said, leading Zach and his Prophets toward the only big building in the city.
This is bound to be an interesting meeting. Zach thought as the approached the building...

Jack kept at his work, digging toughs in the barren fields with his Trinium enhanced hoe, sweating through his Trinium enhanced t-shirt and overalls. The sun continued to glare down harshly, but as he worked through the day it dulled to a simmering coal low on the horizon. When his work was completed, Jack went back home and started digging around in the Trinium enhanced fridge until he found a carton of instant noodles he's picked up two days prior in town. James had eaten all the others, sadly, he set to work preparing them and wondering how much longer his brother would be "away on important stuff".

A Class X-328 crusier came crashing down several kilometers from Jack and where he was farming. It's left thruster visibly on fire and violently flickering on and off. It landed on the nearby town, obliterating it instantly. The shockwave of the impact caused a small earthquake in the general area.

As they walked down the street in Theklarish. They were getting close to the large building when an explosion resounded in the distance, throwing debris and dirt so far into the air that they could see it.
"What was that?" Zach said.
"I don't know. Maybe one of the ships that was defending the planet?" Vren said.
Activating his earpiece comlink, Zach said, "Tantalus this is Hammond, send a group of Lights to investigate the crash sight. Take anyone you find there into custody, use force if necessary. Hammond out."
Turning his eyes back to the present, Zach said, "OK, well, let's go. We still need to negotiate the terms of your surrender."
When they reached the capital building Vrens bodyguards (2 of them) came and posted them by Vren. They carried light weaponry, merely obsolete projectile weapons. The guns did not scare him. Then they walked into a small meeting room in Vrens supposed office. It was a small office compared to the one Zach had on Promethia (Capital Planet of the Promethium).
"How... quaint." Zach said.
"We live a simple life here." Vren said. Sitting behind his desks while his bodyguards posted themselves at a window. Zachs prophets stood beside him. He had chose 2 out of the 4 Prophets in their arsenal who had the ability of mind control. Also, one of them had healing powers. Even now the prophets were worming into the minds of the Janarian bodyguards.
"What do you want with us?" Vren asked.
"I merely want to keep this planet as a base of operations in the Galaxy. We are here to conquer Council Space. We are not here to harm you or your people." Zach said.
"So, should I make any living arrangements for you or your men." Vren said grudgingly.
"No, we will live on the ships while we are here." Zach said.
"So you merely wish to stay." Vren said.
"Yes, just know that this planet no longer belongs to the council. It belongs to the Promethium." Zach said.
"Fine." Vren said.
"We are in the process of shutting down your communications. Issue an announcement planet-wide that there is an 8 o'clock curfew for everyone. Anyone found wandering outdoors after will be terminated, without question. That is all I presume?" Zach said.
"Indeed..." Vren said giving up.
Looks like their smart enough not to rebel. Good, this will make everything a whole lot easier. Zach thought.
"OK then, I take my leave of you." Zach said. He left. He had to return to the Tantalus and get the results on the communications tower so far. Today was going to be a long day...

Once more the Gates of Passage opened. They were not of wood, nor stone, nor metal. Rather, in the depths of space in Near Prime Orbit (NPO), a small, green sphere appeared from seemingly nothingness. This was that Gateway.
The sphere seemed to boil, and the surface became amorphous. Immense amounts of radiation and energy poured out from the sphere as is spun to unimaginable speeds. Soon, as if it were dough in a pizzeria, the sphere stretched, and flattened. The newly formed green disk grew at an exponential rate, large enough for militant ships to gain passage, in which they did. Out from the now gargantuan disk appeared ships of varying size and shape.
None seemed of sizable feats, but all were present, six in number. The ships banded in two groups -two trios- and quickly became emblazed as they made reentry. At the head of each group, the odder looking ships lead they're descent. These ships were much larger than the two near-identical smaller ships trailing each of them, and seemed to be comprised of two engines strapped to a Barrel O' Monkeys toy set.
In reality, the two ships were no such thing. They were to land on the surface, not too close, but not too far from the other (Whilst the smaller aircraft circled above), and were to set up shop, building from within themselves temporary bases, and eventually, a surface-held gateway to bring in further supplies, and reinforcements.
This they did. Within a matter of minutes, the two ships had anchored themselves to the ground, and the twenty-man crews of each quickly set to work building relay stations to begin communications with each other, and emptied the cargo holds of each ship, setting up mobile ramparts and unloading footsoldier weaponry. All this soon became coordinated as the relay stations were online, and the two crews eventually decided it was safe enough to begin building the surface-held gateway.
This new process would be painstaking, as even forty men was not the necessary amount to build the massive, but still miniaturized gateway with great success and efficiency. Nevertheless, it had to be done. The two crews planned on the process taking an expedited eight hours, whilst only using the majority of the men, and allowing the others to both participate in shifts and protecting the entirety of the ground force while the gateway was constructed.
One man of the minority groups, Charles, was rather excited about this operation. It was a routine training and research mission set forth by the lead of his division, the only division, on Aedus Prime, nearly three light years away. He and his group had no idea of the Promethium presence or occupation. They were soon to find out.

Suddenly, the ground gave way under one of Gate peoples' temporary structures. From a hole in the ground, two rabbit-like people of Marisuian descent appeared, coughing.
"What in--Oh my word. Jasper, just look what they've done to my vegetable patch!" the female sobbed.
Jasper, the male of the pair, patted her on the shoulder. "Now don't you worry, Jen. I'll give those ruffians a piece of my mind!"
Striding up to the nearest gate worker, he started railing on him. "What do you people think you're doing, plopping your building down on our home, wrecking our gardens, and collapsing our underground tunnels? I demand to see whoever's in charge!"

Zach fingered the pistol in his holster as he approached the Tantalus. Something was wrong here. What was it? Of course it was just a sense. But Zachs intuition usually ended up saving him. So he was cautious.
But he progressed toward the Tantalus calm. What on this planet could stop him? Nothing. It was just a bad feeling. It really had no bearing anyway. His confidence returned and he walked toward the Tantalus with a fiercer confidence in his step. This planet was conquered anyway, their was nothing here to stop them now.
He walked up to the ship and pressed a button on his wrist. A holographic interface appeared and he keyed in the coordinates. A transporter system on the Tantalus activated and put him into the beam room. Strange that the Tantalus had a shorter retrieval distance that transportation distance.
Then again, it was probably because of the unexpected power fluctuations that came with Subspace power. Even with their buffer to concentrate the instability of the power. Of course, Zach wasn't a scientist. He was a Admiral. He shook his thoughts off and got back to the situaton.
He sat in the ships captains seat and started issuing orders.
"Scan the planet for any class 5 weapons tech or higher. Get me a status report on the people we sent to investigate that crash site." Zach said.
A chorus of "yes sirs!" came and Zach sat back in his chair. It always gave him great satisfaction to order people around. It was his job after all. Why couldn't he enjoy it?
It took an hour for a scan. To bad, now he had to stay here. Zach wanted to get into the thick of combat while he was here. O yes, Zach enjoyed his job. Except for negotiations, those infuriated him. But he had trained himself to believe that with one bad thing comes another. To bad...
Zach sat back and relaxed, continuing to dish out orders on his whim. What could stop them now? Nothing.

The human lined up his sights, "Breath deep" a slow, somber voice said, "Line up the target, use the scopes dot" the voice said, the small human child did as he was told, a small red and white bullseye on a can.
"Breath in, don't exhale till I say" the voice said, the boy followed orders.
"fire" the voice whispered, the boy squeezed on the trigger, a loud crack echoed out of the alley way.
"Did I get it?" the boy asked.
The Anexian lumbered down the alley, his arms swinging heavily at his side, large leather gloves covering the watermelon sized hands, a pair of black suit pants and a white undershirt gripped tight to his body. "Close but not quite" he shouted, throwing the can towards the boy, who caught it in one hand. "A millimetre to the left and dead centre" the Anexian said. "I'm getting better though, aye Reg" the boy said looking down the sights at a trash can beside him. "Yes" Reg said with a small smile as he made his way back to the boys side. "Now get back home, tell your mother thank you for the peaches" he added patting the boy on the head with his heavy, leather clad hand. "I'll talk to you later" the Boy added as he slung the rifles carry strap over his shoulder.
Reg just lumbered slowly out onto the empty street and turned towards his apartment block across the road.

Charles heard the peeping voices from behind a group of resting men eating their rations. Curious, he followed the high-pitched noises -obviously not human- and, without any knowledge of the gaping hole in front of him (His head turned to see the location of the voices), stumbled and fell in.
A moment later he rose, coughing just the same, rubbed his eyes, and looked up to see two anthropomorphic rodents staring back down at him.
"What in...?" He couldn't finish his thought. The four beady eyes staring him down soon became two as the apparently female of the group looked at where he was standing and, shrieked.
"Gha-ah!" He grabbed his ears at the sound, falling to his knees only to be returned with another painful shriek. Now he was rolling, writhing in the pain that was continuously boring into his mind every time he moved. Eventually, he had rolled enough in one direction that the shrieking stopped and became squeaky sobbing.
After shaking out the sound and recovering form the wretched pain in his ears, which were still ringing, he took another crazed look at the strange rodents. The one who hadn't looked away -the one who hadn't been shrieking- was now looking at him with an expression equivalent of someone gritting their teeth. It took Charles a moment to realize this, and he then found the words in his still-jumbled mind to reply with: "What'd I do?"
The creature gave him no reply, still grimacing, and Charles decided to turn his attention towards the female, who was on her knees cursing her bad luck and destroyed carrots.
"Y'know, we've got carrots in the storage bins just outside of camp..." Now, with his mind in enough working condition to perform a simple analysis of what he had done just a moment ago, he realized exactly why she was crying to such an extent. Having not only fallen on what little of her garden wasn't destroyed, almost destroying it as well, he had stepped about it, continuing to destroy it, fallen on his knees effectively making a one-two punch of further destruction, and even gave the cherry-top finish of rolling about in the remains of her pulverized carrots.
"Wow... I really did a number, huh? Well, we can replace this, and more, if you'd like."
----
During and after this had happened, the group continued being the busy beehive it was. The gate had just reached completion, and construction supplies were soon flowing through in massive crates and trucks once it had been brought online. Division command asked for a sitrep, and was replied with nothing but an all-systems-nominal report including the loss of one relay station that was now useless given the changed conditions.
Now the base was to be constructed, all the while more supplies and equipment continuously flowing through. First the barracks, then Class 3 defensive structures and watch towers, then latrines and perimeter walls, and later turret spots were to be set in place until the reactive poly-crete could be bought through, setting up the base walls. The whole place was bustling with activity, with gate-delivered VTVLs airlifting delicate and heavy equipment all round the base, and nearly two hundred extra men building structure and carrying supplies, equipment, and weaponry to key defensive positions and construction sites.
One of the more intriguing structures being built was a protective dome structure encompassing the gateway itself. This dome itself seemed to be encompassed by shield projectors even as it was being constructed. What was more intriguing was the fact that six towers -and support structures connecting them, as if they were to join at a peak- were being erected around the dome construction site, even as supplies, equipment, and helping arms were being transported. This structure was to be the command center, and an innumerable amount of other towering structures were to be constructed about the place, making a deathly maze if a firefight were to be had.
Defensive mobile turrets were being brought through, just as commonly as supply trucks and VTVLs. Now was not a good time to launch any sort of attack.

"How long until our forces reach the crash site?" Zach said 5 minutes later.
"They are almost there. From what they can see, it appears to be an Ormon X-328 Battlecruiser. Like the one's we encountered in number when we entered the system." His Lieutenant said.
"Hm... well, any survivors are a potential threat. Tell the force to detain any survivors, use lethal force if necessary." Zach said.
The Lieutenant did so.
"Sir, we are detecting a considerable energy spike somewhere on the other side of the planet. Like some kind of wormhole or transportation device." The Lieutenant said.
"Well, it doesn't matter. If it's just a teleporter we'd look stupid." Zach said simply.
"The energy patterns don't appear to say so sir."
"I don't care, we have a situation at hand here. Concentrate!"
"Yes sir!"
"What is the progress on the disabling of the communications center?"
"I'll get an update."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raid on The Communications Tower
The T-185 Corvette sped across the planet towards the communications center. The Prophet in charge (Jack Hanson) sat in the co-pilots seat next to the person flying.
"How much longer before we reach the communications center?" Jack asked bluntly.
"You are so impatient. We should be within vision ranger in a couple seconds." The Light flying said.
"Wait, I see it." Jack said, leaning forward. He examined the rectangular building with a satellite dish coming off the top. Suddenly, a weapon blast from the center emerged.
"Evasive maneuvers!" Jack said. The pilot quickly swerved to avoid the cannon blast. It missed. But all of the other weapons emplacements were firing. There was about 10 in all. "Return fire."
"Powering weapons!" The Light said. Their ship started firing, only to in their surprise encounter a shield.
"What...? The center has a shield. Shields up!" Jack ordered.
"Already done."
Another volley of laser blasts emerged from the station and struck them before they could evade. The ship rocked violently.
"Shields at 50 percent." The Light said.
"Those are really powerful, they must have a subspace power source. Put us down in that clearing." Jack said.
The Light did so. A zapping emitting from the switches above them.
"Damage report?" Zach asked.
"Our shields are back up, but two of our laser emplacements are down." The Light said.
Jack frowned.
"Looks like were taking this place by ground." Jack said.
"Indeed..." The Light said, as Jack began to plan his next move...
