I really wasn't expecting that our scouts would crash the server!

I couldn't load immediately when I tried to refresh 40 seconds before landing. I never managed to see any other guild's scouts arriving...

Seems the server crash when it goes past a certain amount of fleets after all!

for me it crashed 5 seconds before the first scout fleet landed

ha ha nomy cant be killed... hes IMMORTAL...

it is funny tho i waited 3 hours to make an attack and 4 minutes before i landed it froze /facepalm

those numbers are scewwed up too cuz how can riddle have 459 fleets>>

Fascinating really. It was a good test and proved something quite useful.

What I don't understand is how it took this long to discover this problem. Surely earlier servers had much larger crashes.

this has been a problem for a while now admins haven't been able to fix it

yeah, riddle and me, sent about 10 scouts each. I personally send 17, couldn't send more, didn't have free fleets available anymore :P

well the server came back up for about 2 seconds then crashed again :(

im going to go out on a limb and ssay wats crashing it is the 64 percent rule because its not just the attack its the steps they go thru to process an attack junk like

so they should do a simple flow chart and i would bet u it has to do with where they inserted the 64 percent lvl penalty in the process of doing the attack steps that is giving the culminating error

no attacks happened the server went down even before we all landed

I think the reason this was exacerbated in our crash was the fact that Riddle's blob was on a wormhole in a one system region with all the bases taken by Riddle and their allies. So DDoS sent tons of separate scout fleet seconds apart from each other, as well as Riddle shuffling support fleet and levi killers, and on top of it all was about 300+ people hitting F5 constantly.

Ofcourse then it may still have been haxors. I blame seldo.. no not him he was dead. The parms guy, yes I blame the parms guy

And then there is the theory that it was a DDoS attack :paranoid:
